I just posted for the first time in two weeks, and I got the same duplication of comments. So far, all the duplicate comments were originally made on the wordpress site, linked on the Facebook page, and then re-shared (duplicated) back on the wordpress site (and then, of course, re-duplicated back on the Facebook page).

I tried initiating a comment from Facebook. It linked to my wordpress blog but did NOT duplicate itself.

So if seems (so far) that only comments initiated on the blog site are the ones duplicating themselves.

Do you mean Facebook would not allow the plugin to create a promoteable post? If I do it manually, it is allowed. If I do it through Facebook share that WordPress offers, it is promoteable. But…that share doesn’t allow the comment interaction.
