I have the same issue. I reported it through the contact form, but haven’t heard anything. Since then, I noticed the photo actually is fully uploaded and saved in my media library, so it is actually hanging up at the point of inserting into post. It’d be nice to resolve this. I don’t know what info is needed from my end to get it to work.

More explicitly, I modified the .htaccess with Shane G’s recommendation which gave me a 500 internal error. I left that and added krembo99’s code to the top and the combo works perfectly. Since it seems so many people are having this problem, I had to comment this success.
