I lease a bare dedicated server and the hosting company does provide any support but I can check the permissions. Today I added one new image to this gallery and you can see the broken image link on the end:
https://www.dixiemiranda.com/index.php/2017/11/11/gallery-test/
This new file was written into Uploads with permissions 0666. And the Group and Owner are both “Apache”. I will have to set the permissions to 777 to get new images to appear. However, one clue might be that most of the other files in this web site have Group “psaserv” and owner “dixie—miranda”.
All the other features of Foo Gallery work fine. What do you think?
Okay, here’s what’s happening. I got the file uploading working earlier and the image thumbnails are shown properly in “Manage Items”. But when I switch to Gallery Preview they are all broken links.
To fix this, I have to go into the Uploads directory on the server and change permissions on the files to get everything working properly. That’s when they finally appear on the home page.
If I can solve this one problem I’ll be very happy!
Okay, this article:
Clicking on your Stumbleupon button produces this (screen shot):
No, unfortunately I still have the problem. I tried it again on an old post and also on a brand new post. I can see that you’re calling https now but still no success.
I also upgraded Chrome to the latest version and that didn’t help either.

While your support people are working on this they should fix this related problem too.
You’ll notice that various punctuation marks aren’t escaped out property:
Former NBA Player Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams Teams up with Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities for Specialized Clinic
This example came from your Pinterest icon used the first image on this page:
https://www.vegasnews.com/165550/former-nba-player-jerome-junkyard-dog%C2%9D-williams-teams-up-with-center-for-autism-developmental-disabilities-for-specialized-clinic.htmlEven though the Pinterest submission seems to correct everything, it still doesn’t look right during the submission process which might lead some people to abort.
Also, oddly enough, subsequent pins from the same page don’t seem to have this problem.

In reply to: [Change Text Case] Change Text Case upgrade not workingI just thought I’d mention that I don’t use WP Edit Pro and the upgrade still didn’t work for me.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Change Text Case] Change Text Case upgrade not workingThese plugins add features to TinyMCE. I tried disabling all of them but it didn’t help:
Cleanup HTML
TinyMCE Advanced
TinyMCE Page Break Button
TinyMCE Spellcheck
I will contact you at your site for further assistance. Thanks.
Thanks, I also noticed that if I cut & paste a new description right before I save it to Pinterest, that also works. But like you said, when I just try a normal submission the description is lost.
I contacted Pinterest but they said they don’t support 3rd party apps, so I hope you can solve this problem.
Keep in mind that I went in and manually added descriptions to most
of my recent pins. But here are a few without descriptions:Also, pins I’ve posted today are still missing their descriptions.
This is using your Pinterest button that appears above all my articles. Thanks.
It took me a while but I solved this problem. It turns out that my firewall was blocking IP 54.236.1.11 which is used by Pinterest during the image grabbing process. After I whitelisted that IP everything worked fine. Thanks.

In reply to: Pinterest issue: site doesn’t allow readers to pin contentIt took me a while to figure this out but the problem
was that my firewall had blocked the IP address 54.236.1.11.
Once I whitelisted that IP everything worked fine again.Just to clarify, when we submit the URL of our story to LinkedIn.com, the submission form fails to pick up the photo that’s in the article.
Same problem here. Hope we can get a solution for this.
Thanks, I’m no longer seeing that error message.
Ajay, thanks for the quick fix! I’ve been using this plugin for several years and really got nervous when it stopped working. Working fine now!
