This appears to have been related to a plugin called WP-Visitors 1.0. After deactivating the plugin I was able to publish again.

Can’t we just replace the changed files? Replacing everything seems like overkill for a few minor fixes.

This is a truly great plugin. That’s why we’re hoping that the author updates it.

I have the same problem. I can’t select/cut text in the Text Widget. There are a couple of lengthy topics about this but none have a resolution to the problem. I have had the problem in IE7 and IE8.

Can someone please point me to the solution?

So what happened to this? I’m also struggling with the alternate text. I can’t get it to work even when I’m using a caption. No matter what I do the alternate text is always the file name of the image.

No matter what plugin I vote on it doesn’t work.

I regret having picked this theme for my first installation. I can’t get pages to be linked properly, either. This is supposed to be easy!
