Thanks. I found out that I had an option set that automatically closed all posts older than 14 days. After unchecking that option (General Settings) everything was fine!

The delay in Visual Editor appears to be because the textual content is downloading. But during EDITING there are screen glitches that indicate erratic screen updating. Large blank square areas of the screen suddenly go blank.

If you type a character sometimes the character resets itself and you can begin to work. The problem seems to me to have something to do with the erratic refreshing of the screen. Could this have something to do with the version of Java we are running?

I was running WP 3.4.1 when I reported the problem.

I no longer have the lines and did not copy them. I was notified about them from my web hosting technical support person. Once these lines were removed I still had to get rid of some additional files that were present.

Near as I could tell the installation of the plug-in caused some sort of “infinite loop” which was a problem. Just not certain whether anyone else has experienced this sort of thing or if it was merely a fluke.
