In reply to: [Insert or Embed Articulate Content into Wordpress] JS errorHi there,
I haven’t been able to reproduce these issues in the Gutenberg editor, Divi, or the Classic Editor. There’s gotta be something else I need to have installed to reproduce this.
Please contact me via the form here & let me know the following:
https://www.elearningfreak.com/contact-us/
1. What version of WordPress you have installed
2. What theme you have installed
3. A link to your site so that I can see the other plugins you have installed
4. If you have another plugin like LearnDash, CoursePress or another similar course building plugin/theme
5. What version number of my plugin you have installedThanks,
Brian

In reply to: [Insert or Embed Articulate Content into Wordpress] JS errorCan you tell me which editor you’re using? We fixed some editor specific errors in version 4.29994.
This issue appears to be specific to using a local dev environment like WAMP. My developer is currently working on a fix for this. I’ll follow up with you via email.
Hi Jing,
I apologize for the late response as I’ve been on vacation.
This plugin simply handles the upload & display of the content. It doesn’t support tracking & resuming like an LMS. We don’t currently handle paid courses.
With that being said, we’re actively working on xAPI support that will enable some reporting & tracking features. We don’t currently have plans to handle paying for courses.
Thanks,
Brian

In reply to: [Insert or Embed Articulate Content into Wordpress] Bug warningWhen you publish content to a spec like SCORM / AICC and upload it to a web server, the content will try to load with the expectation that there’s an LMS loading it. You’ll sometimes see a message like “configuration data is missing or incorrect” or “Error – unable to acquire LMS API”. Some tools like Articulate Rise don’t display that message. They just let the content play.
To resolve the issue, publish in Captivate with “eLearning output” set to Disabled like described in this screencast:
Finally, zip and upload your output with my plugin. That’ll resolve the issue.
As a side note, we’re currently working on a feature to implement xAPI tracking. We hope to launch that later this year.

Hi there!
We are actively working on xAPI support in the premium version of the plugin. It will not be available in the trial version available in the WordPress repo.
For more information, see our site at elearningfreak.com – When that feature is available, we’ll post it on our website.
Thanks,
Brian

In reply to: [Insert or Embed Articulate Content into Wordpress] great job!!!Thanks for the review! I really appreciate it!
Hello lovesamla,
First, the free version of the plugin here displays the content in a basic iframe with limited sizing. Depending upon the theme you’re using & the content authoring tool, you may need to make some additional tweaks. For example, one common problem with Articulate Studio & Storyline content is that the player frame gets set to a locked size. So, no matter what settings you choose with my plugin, the Articulate content will try to display at the size it wants to. Thus, you end up with content that doesn’t display fully or you get scroll bars. I’m not sure if you tried to contact me via my website, but this is a pretty common solution that resolves it for most people:
It sounds like your course is set to “Lock player at optimal size” instead of “Scale player to fill browser window” in Player Properties in the Articulate authoring tool. For more information, see:
Can you try changing that to “Scale player to fill browser window” and see if that resolves it?
If you’re not using Articulate content, it could be an issue with the theme. I’ve seen some themes that overwrite my CSS improperly. Thus, you end up with funky content. I can typically figure out those issues as well and make recommendations on CSS that needs to be updated to fix that.
The premium version of the plugin that you mentioned provides many other iframe options including a responsive option and even custom sizing. Between those 2 additional options only available in the premium version, most of my customers can find a set of options that work for their site.
If you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to contact me here: https://www.elearningfreak.com/contact-us/
Thanks for the review. Here’s a link to the video if anyone is looking for it:
Quick update: We have support for Gutenberg in the premium plugin. We’re working on porting those changes over to the free plugin here. No ETA on that release at this point.
Hi there,
I don’t keep a list of those plugins simply because there’s so many in the repo. Just google something like “wordpress protect uploads folder”.
As an FYI, we started building a restriction feature earlier this year, but didn’t finish it. I’m hoping to tackle that again in 2019.
Thanks,
Brian
We’re working on Gutenberg support right now. We’re about 99% of the way. Only a few glaring issues left. I hope to have an update out by this weekend.
Thanks,
Brian
