Hi,
Hiding the backend does not prevent a user or bot from accessing the WordPress Dashboard Login, rather, it only changes the login slug. If you haven’t already, you may want to go to Security> Settings> Local Brute Force Detection and enable the Automatically ban “admin” user feature.
Hiding the backend is not a valid form of Security and will not assist in securing your WordPress Dashboard Login. The Hide Backend feature is known as Security through Obscurity and does not prevent users from being able to access the site.? I would suggest relying on stronger features like two-factor authentication, reCAPTCHA, and enforcing strong passwords to secure your login.

Hi,
You may try disabling the Hackrepair Blacklist Feature located under Security> Settings> Banned Users to see if that will prevent the unwanted lockouts.
Thanks,
Matt
Hi,
You can find more information in the article below about the acquisition. However, this acquisition will have no impact on the free version of iThemes Security.

Hi,
Can you please try going to Security> Settings> Notification Center> Site Lockouts and verify that that report has been unchecked? Unfortunately, just enabling the Security Digest will not disable the individual Site Lockout Notifications.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
This is the only report we have had of this so I do not believe that the Security plugin will be the cause of the issue. If you disable the Security plugin are you still seeing the same issue?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Andreas,
You can temporarily disable iThemes Security features by adding the code below to your wp-config.php file above the “That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.” comment. Note you’ll need to remove it to re-enable the features of Security Pro.
define(‘ITSEC_DISABLE_MODULES’, true);
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
Thank you for your question! iThemes Security prevents and detects, but it does not remove malware.

Hi,
The article below might help with the Website Blocked due to trojan message. However, there is nothing that the Security Plugin can do to address or fix that message.

Hi,
Could you please go to Security > Settings > Notification Center > Default Recipients and verify one has been checked? If it has, you may try clearing the cache to see if the error persists.
Thanks,
Matt
определить (‘ITSEC_DISABLE_TWO_FACTOR’, истина);
Hi,
Security Pro does not have an SMS option for Two-Factor Authentication. With Security Pro, you can use choose from email, mobile app (such as Google Authenticator and Authy) or use a one-time backup code that is provided upon setup.
If you have an account with iThemes, you can enter a support ticket through the link below. Please keep in mind that iThemes is only able to assist the account owner with issues.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. I have made this a feature request, however, I don’t if/when that would be implemented. There are existing membership plugins that redirect specific user roles after logging in to a page of your choosing.
Thanks,
Matt

Once you are back in can you please go to Security> Settings> Away Mode and make sure that the module has not been turned on?
Thanks!
