You are correct, there is not a setting in iThemes Security that would cause the text editor to not work. That is most likely the result of a conflict.

You can add the code below into the wp-config.php file anywhere as long as it is between the first line ( <?php ) and the line that says / That’s all, stop editing. Happy Blogging / to temporarily disable all features so you can log in.

define(‘ITSEC_DISABLE_MODULES’, true);
`
Once you have logged in you can remove the plugin from the Plugins section.Thanks!

Do you have any other plugins that also enforce strong passwords or enhance security on your site? Typically passwords should be at least twelve characters long, so that may have been your issue.

iThemes Security Pro utilizes Sucuri’s Site Check for the scanner. Can you please have your host whitelist the Sucuri IPs to see if it helps the scanner operate properly?
