Hi,
You can temporarily disable Security Pro’s features by adding the code below to your wp-config.php file above the “That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.” comment. Note you’ll need to remove it to re-enable the features of Security Pro.
define(‘ITSEC_DISABLE_MODULES’, true);
Hi,
You can try disabling the following features to see if it helps.
Hackrepair Blacklist Feature
(Security> Settings> Banned Users)Filter Long URL Strings
(Security> Settings> System Tweaks)Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL
(Security> Settings> System Tweaks)Filter Non-English Characters
(Security> Settings> System Tweaks)You may also try enabling XML-RPC and allowing Full Access to the REST API.
(Security> Settings> WordPress Tweaks> XML-RPC)If that does not help to resolve the issue you could enable each setting within Security Pro that you would like active, and then deactivate them one at a time to determine the culprit.
Hi,
You can add IPs to the Whitelist in Security> Settings> Global Settings> Authorized Hosts List. You may also go to Security> Settings> Banned Users and disable the Hackrepair Blacklist Feature.

(Security> Settings> WordPress Tweaks> XML-RPC)Hi,
Are you still running into issues with this? If the database backup is being created but not sent there may be an issue with the email sending functionality of your website. Your host should be able to assist in looking into how the emails are being sent.
Hi,
Thank you for the updated information! I will pass this information along to our support team in hopes that it will help future users!
That error is typically an indication of a temporary timeout when the scan was performed. Are you still consistently getting the same 500 error?
Hi,
You can find instructions in the video below on how to use wildcards to whitelist a range of IPs. The instructions start at 6 minutes 30 seconds into the video.

Hi,
You can find more information regarding the depreciation of the .htaccess file in the article below.
That error means that something within SMTP is erroring and not sending email. You will need to reach out to your host and have them look into why your mail is not able to authenticate. The email health check plugin may help to diagnose the issue.
If the changes made are from an update there is no cause for concern. Each file that changes at all is logged. For my own sites, I scan the list and look for anything out of place; I expect changes in backups, caching, updated plugins, etc. If I see a change for something that I personally didn’t update or have set to run automatically, that’s when I look at the file and start tracking down issues.
If your Site Scan is coming up clear, that is another good indication that the changes you are seeing are part of the routine backgrounds in a WordPress site
You can exclude files and directories in the File Change Detection settings on the Settings page. The general rule is it’s okay to exclude ones that you know are going to be regularly updating. Backup and cache files are a perfect example of this. Doing so will calm a lot of the extra noise.
The plugin will only inform you of changes made (if modules are enabled) but it does not have the capability to inform you of any issues in regards to those changes.
Hi,
The Hide Backend feature will only be able to have one setting in place that will then propagate down to the rest of the sites under the main site.
