I don’t know but just download the 1.9.1 release and check the changelog.txt inside the plugin. Maybe you find something in there which gives you your answer.

There is a bug in 1.9.0 which is fixed in 1.9.1

But for “some reason” the Plugin DEV decided to wait till the fix is released.
So either download the beta version from the linked thread or stay on 1.8.1 till that new release is published.

The checkbox showed up on the checkout process before a customer confirms his order.

But to be mentioned: This behaviour was only present AFTER we downgraded to 2.4.3 again, not in the newest Version.

In my test environment I couldn’t reproduce this problem, therefore this problem was only present due to the fact that we downgraded from 3.0 to 2.4.3 on our customers live website.

Therefore you don’t have to look into that further.

This is my test environment since we restored the old database status of our customers live page. This is of course the 3.0 version since this environment doesn’t run with WPML.

After downgrading to the old Germanized Version the mentioned Checkbox has been added in there:

About the age verification checkbox:

We just have noticed, that it has been added due to the update to 3.0 (or more specifically the DB update caused by the 3.0 update)

Its not like we had problems with the checkbox, we were just surprised it was included by default.

Since it definitely is related to the WPML Multilingual Plugin I created a WPML Support Ticket, so a WPML Developer can check that problem.

We additionally had the problem, that

1. An additional checkbox for “I am older than xy” has been added to the checkout process
2. We had problems with the WooCommerce E-Mails. Somehow the E-Mail Headers weren’t present anymore, so therefore the HTML Code was visible for customers

We didn’t debug this problem any more and are now in the process of restoring a database status from earlier this day.

Still I wouldn’t recommend to update to 3.0 if you use WPML till this issue is being resolved!

I just tried to reproduce it with a “relatively” empty WooCommerce installation and couldn’t reproduce the problem.

So therefore its not a WooCommerce Germanized problem by itself.

Seems like it is somehow connected to WPML.

There is already an open Issue for the WordPress Gutenberg Github Project.

I tried reproducing this problem in Safari and Firefox but I could not do it.

Therefore I completely removed all the caches I had in my Chrome but it still persists, therefore it has to do something with the current Chrome 77.0.3865.75 (MacOS) Version since I could not reproduce the problem with the Chrome 76 Version on my Windows machine.
But after I updated the Windows Chrome to 77 the problem is there… well done Google…

Unfortunately I “rediscovery” the problem.

The strange thing here is, that i don’t get the mentioned JS error as described above in my initial post any more.

Also I have cleared the Autoptimize cache again AND deactivated the Autoptimze Plugin and the problem still persists. Therefore its definitely not the Plugin, but thanks to “Optimizing Matters” for the quick reply ??

Back to the problem: I tried some more plugin disabling and discovered, that it is definitely a Gutenberg problem in itself. Both Yoast SEO and the Supersozializer Plugin installed alone did overlay the Gutenberg content, therefore I will create an issue for Gutenberg and it is definitely NOT a problem with Yoast.

Its still strange to me, that in the beginning disabling Yoast fixed my problem, but this doesn’t happen any more.

Im sorry but somehow my problem has solved itself.

Probably it was my caching Plugin “Autoptimize” which could have caused the problem above but I can’t reproduce my problem any more even though i tried clearing all the caches before submitting this issue.

I can edit all my posts and Yoast doesn’t overlay Gutenberg any more (like in the screenshot above)

I have looked through “all” the source files (there aren’t really that much to be honest) but I can’t find anything that could cause this problem.

Im quite curious what will happen in the next patch but Im really happy with what this plugin offers.
