In reply to: [Kale] Page title (H1) needs to go before featured imageI replaced the content and purged the cache, but it’s still not working. Obviously, if you come across a solution, please let me know. In the meantime, I will have to move on to some other alternative. Thank you.

In reply to: [Make] Editing Front Page as a static pageAlthough marked “resolved”, in case anyone else is having this problem. My pages were set to public but no matter what theme I tried, setting the static page would not take. There was no option under “Settings, reading.” Finally, I simply reinstalled WP 4.1.1 and everything went back to normal.

In reply to: Permalinks, urls and slugsThanks Gerald. I was getting hung up thinking that level 2 had to be the child of the home page rather than a main/parent page of its own!
I appreciate your help.

In reply to: Permalinks, urls and slugsBy the way, I’m using the “post-name” setting in the permalinks:

In reply to: Permalinks, urls and slugsHi Gerald,
Thanks for the reply. I read the codex and I believe I have been setting up the pages correctly. “Home” is parent to the level 2 page and level 2 is parent to level 3, right?
But, instead of the “www.example.com/home/Illinois/Chicago”,
I would like the url to read “www.example.com/Illinois/Chicago”. (getting rid of “home” in the path.) Does that make sense?Again, I thank you for any help you can provide.
