  • Okay, so I completely “deleted” my plugins from the directory (all files) and then cleared db cache and optimized db. Now Post/Publish works fine.

Although I can’t tell you exactly what the issue was, I’m sure it had to do with a plugin/function hook corruption. It only took about 30 minutes to fix and then reinstall plugins one at a time and test (7 plugins total).

I think one thing that would be great in the WordPress Plugins repository list (the one you search, download and install from) – is a way to sort by “most downloaded”, “most ratings (not highest rating/most stars)”. It seems that the best plugins are the ones most downloaded and with the most ratings. It’s just a downside of an open community in a small way I suppose.

Here’s my latest blog design using Studio Press: https://drewbrophy.com.

Let me know if anyone has any questions, etc.

    Cheers,

    Story (that’s my last name)

I’m having the same issue with a blank ‘post.php’ page resolving after I click “publish” or “Update” from either a Post or Page.

I’ve turned off all plugins to see if that was the issue and still the same result. This has seemingly happened without any changes to the server, plugins, or theme.

I’ve also flushed the database cache and ran a ‘Repair Tables’ on the db and still no go. Hmmmmm.

    WP v.3.0.1

Guidance from any fellow developer would be great, thanks.

    Hi,

I’m having the same problem. When a new user registers for my blog site, they are not receiving an email with a temporary password. Where is the setting to enable this feature? Is it in a wp file, in the database? Where?

How do you configure this to work?

My blog (still configuring the design) is: https://bigdaddymedia.com/intheeye/blog/

I’m running it on a Windows platform with no problems other than this. I did update to the latest version over the weekend without a problem and never actually tested the registration feature prior to the upgrade.

    Thanks in advance – Michael
