I’ve done some further testing and here’s the gist. In production, I can save the slideshow with a URL attached to the slide, but then the whole show breaks, and we see the 4-5 images in a stack.

The 429 issue only shows up on the staging site and I’ll talk to my WPEngine about that, but because I can’t save a slide with a URL, I don’t see the whole thing break there.

Any further thoughts would be appreciated.

I’ve been using this plugin on this site for years, but have never used the URL link, until recently. I did upgrade to the latest .13 version yesterday. On the staging site, I continue to see this when adding links: https://snipboard.io/B8Cnky.jpg and they don’t save.

Kind of, I think? I found this article on their site – https://codewoogeek.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/36000181432-how-to-get-rid-of-something-went-wrong-error, and then turned off caching for those specific pages. It does seem to work, but is not a great solution.

The problem with using the site health plugin to deactivate things is that this only works for the logged in user, I need to be an admin to run site health, but then need to login as my super editor to test in that same session, which isn’t possible. This is a very active site, deactivating everything live is even harder…

My slideshow titles are Home and Home mobile, no characters. Please do update me on when you have an updated fix. Thank you

No need for a screenshot, there is literally nothing on any of the admin screens. I am seeing a bunch of errors in the console:

I did have an older version (1.4.0) and the Radio choice does work there, something definitely wrong with the updated version.

Yes, I set the roles but was still getting an error (Notice: Undefined variable: echo in /home/tlafber/public_html/staging/pet-birds/wp-content/plugins/custom-post-types-relationships-cptr/cptr.php on line 456) with 2.5, but the 2.5.1 seems to have corrected the issue and everything is working fine now.

When you say ‘base’, do you mean term? In other words, can I have ‘blue’ as a category and tag term? Yes, you can, but I would seriously question why. The whole point of categories and tags is to help your users find what they’re looking for. Duplicating terms only confuses things.

If you’re doing a cooking blog, then you might only have 3 categories – breakfast, lunch, dinner. But then you could tag recipes by ingredients, many recipes of all of those categories have ‘eggs’.

Categories should be broad and inclusive and are hierarchical. Tags are specific and flat. Both of them create groups, so there is little point in using either until there is more than one in that group.

Yes, you can use / in the term, but that will be stripped out of the slug.

I still am having issues with the path. Just tried this with a simple .jpg, still getting: Upload failed!
Targer folder doesn’t exist.

OK, not quite sure I understand this completely. Let me try to do a smaller file without ftp and just see the path work. When I go pro, where do I go for support, if we can’t get it to work, is there a refund?

It’s the free one. I have no problem going pro, but I’d like to see it work first. Is there a reason I can’t use ftp? Please let me know.

No, not particularly, thought it would bypass the file size limit for a regular upload, since video files are so huge. If there’s a better way, please let me know!
