In reply to: [Gutenberg] Gutenberg Image Caption Window Missing During EditingHi Stevesi – Thank you for the step-by-step directions to get an existing caption to show. That’s very thoughtful of you. ??
I’m looking for the source of the problem… I’d like to understand why the captions have suddenly turned white on white, and what I can do in the dashboard or in custom css to remedy the problem so each caption is not a muti=step sequence. Know what I mean?
If you ever stumble upon a solution for this one, other than a caption-by-caption workaround, please do let me know.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Gutenberg Image Caption Window Missing During Editing@stevesi, I have tried to change the text color to black, but it doesn’t change the visibility while I’m in Edit mode. I still can’t see the text in the caption.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Thanks!
BelindaP.S. I’m on a mac, using safari, and the most recent os, browser app and wordpress, etc.
Should someone else have this problem, the issue was with Gutenberg block choices: the Google Adsense Matched Content code snippet has to be inserted into a Custom HTML block. I inadvertently inserted the snippet into a Code block, and the ad will not render in that flavor of block. Site Kit is working perfectly, and my ads are showing now. Thanks for your help.
Ok, I went, I read, and didn’t find anything helpful.A questionnaire waterfall about disappearing ads seemed promising, but sent me to an area about installing site kit. Their help center points to you. I’ll keep looking. Thank you.
Hi @reneesoffice – thanks for your reply. If it was a script directive from Site Kit, wouldn’t it affect all the other manually inserted ads in my posts, going back in time for years? They are all rendering fine. I’ll visit the adsense help center.
@jlott33 – Thank you so much for your tip of deactivating AMP to connect analytics to the Site Kit Plugin! I’ve tried every approach I could find this week, and the prompt “your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property” made no sense to me whatsoever. Trying to link *my* account, to *my* website? I deactivated AMP, and it worked first try! Thank you so much. (AMP is now reactivated with no apparent issues.) Thanks again!
