  • Hi Mark,

Pecking around trying to find out what exactly “Falcon” is?

This one makes me a little nervous since it writes to htaccess –

Can we enable / disable it? What does it do? Or where can I read about it?

    Thanks!

Oh jeez thank you so much – was there an update? Maybe I overlooked this one? Ugh so sorry, I don’t know. I’m responsible for several sites but not always on retainer for current updates – so maybe I missed doing this one.

    Thanks Rickard! ?

I actually didn’t know that…. spend too much time on this thing I think – my brain is cross pollinating information, I thought they did come with them. (making screw ball finger at myself) (?.?)?

    Thank you,

It’s funny, I found that section on WP.org earlier but not the section that you posted – so didn’t see the change. #SMH

    You’re better at sleuthing ??

You’re welcome, glad I could help.

That is in your title tags – which you can add any number of SEO plugins to incorporate.

Same issue – was so excited about this plugin after so many other lousy experiences and now all of my previous work, on over 500 posts is missing. SIGHHhhhhhh

Hope the Pro version is the Big $Maker you intended for it to be after all of your hard work and attention!

    Have a good one! ツ

I wouldn’t give you 2 cents for it after all of this.

Anyone that knows anything about code can look at the headers to see the hot mess that this thing is.

You’re wrong. It does, so it can try to charge you to have them.

    In the UPGRADE version:

NGFB Open Graph+ adds HTML meta tags to the head section of WordPress webpages for improved Google Search results …

    Under Summary of Features:

    Complete Meta Tags

NGFB Open Graph+ adds Open Graph (Facebook), Pinterest Rich Pins, Twitter Cards, and (optionally) Search Engine Optimization meta tags to the head section of webpages. These meta tags are used by Google Search and most Social Websites to describe and display your content correctly (title, description, keyword tags, images, videos, product, author profile / authorship, publisher, etc.). See a few examples from Google Search / Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Tumblr, and others….

I had no conflicts – I HAD my meta’s – all along – UNTIL I installed this plugin – then I had a holy mess in my headers and more importantly the meta descriptions were GONE – and IN THE DOCUMENTATION OF THE UPGRADE – it goes on to explain as per the aforementioned examples – about the VERY IMPORTANT Meta Tags, that are used by Google Search.

I’m done with this – I tried to speak with you many months ago and it was a waste of time then – and it is now. I’m over it.

PS: Search engines don’t account for key words anymore – that’s misinformation…

No no no nooooo …. You’re funny, though I’m sure that’s just your night job.

If you have no idea but then you should check your verbiage in the offer to upgrade because IT KNOWS – since those meta descriptions are offered with the paid version – the part that turned me away from reaching into my wallet – as I was about to, because I HAD THEM – then quickly realized they were GONE after I set the plugin up. I’m not repeating myself, read the paragraph over again. Maybe you missed something.

You certainly do not need to tell me what to uninstall – as if my previous comments didn’t spell that out loud and clear – I did and also found a much better plugin, that’s MUCH cleaner, far more configurable, with enormously rich SEO built into it, over a million downloads and free too!

You certainly worked hard, have the makings of a potentially good plugin but your business acumen leaves a lot to be desired and your plan for profit is underhanded.

Annnnd – you sure didn’t need to tell me what you won’t support or why JS (is everyone listening? You’d better pucker up if you want support) but it was entertaining to read. ツ

I found the solution and in case anyone else is looking to solve this issue too, this is what I found:

#1 When adding the comment ‘form’ from Jetpack – you can designate where to send email notifications in the editing section of the form addition.

Screen shots are on this link:

    https://jetpack.me/support/contact-form/

It’s a simple thing unless you overlook it when you create it the first time, as I did.

    @keeperbay

and that’s precisely the part that’s got me scratching my head.

The fact that as it has been said – the dominant user base may be publishers – doesn’t mean that they designed, developed, or implemented their sites – they paid someone to. So when and if the automatic update conflicts with themes or plugins etc and their site breaks – they need to PAY people like US to fix it and in the current economy, that’s very unfair. In fact that’s just unfair.

They will be the people that are hurt the most. That dominant user base. Those that don’t know how to fix it or can’t afford to, or aren’t prepared to for whatever reason. This whole magilla is forcing everyone’s hand and I’m really blown away by the attitude of those that are representing the source of what has been a wonderful, free program, to build CMS sites on.

    pdavisnwa,

You know, I thought about that too. It was disconcerting that when we upgraded to 3.7, we unwittingly opened a door for WP to make changes to OUR sites without OUR permission. Minor or major, I don’t want that from anyone, anywhere and that was a bit underhanded, like the landlord snooping around and making changes in your home because he has the master keys.
