The developer of the there responded:

“yes, theme uses pre_get_posts filter. The code is located in [lotus theme folder]/axiom/axi-include/include/setting.php (line 186 – 278 )”

Yes.

Unfortunately, I am not a developer and I don’t know how to look for this. I asked my theme developer, I will let you know when he responds.
I do not see how this can be an issue with any plugin as when I turn all of them off (except yours) this issue still exists.

Also, I investigated further on my own, and it seems to me that the issue is that if there are no posts tagged (only pages) with any specific tag – tag pages show a blank page. For example:
1. Go to https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/tag/images/
2. In the list find ‘People Born On July 14th Of Common Years’ (which is a page, not a post)
3. Click on ‘People Born On July 14th Of Common Years’ and at the bottom of the page note tags ‘images’ and ‘born in july’
4. Click on tag ‘born in july’ and note that nothing shows up

Also:
a. if I turn your plugin off, https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/tag/born-in-july shows “Nothing found” and a search option
b. if the plugin is on, https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/tag/born-in-july shows a blank page

I did try to deactivate all other plugins, but that did not help. ??

Also, I have not installed any new plugins in months. Could it be that it is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress?

Sorry about that. Here is additional information.

1. Go to https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/human-programs-demo/souls-of-people-born-in-april/
2. At the bottom of the page note tags: birth date, birthday, born in april, catalog of human population, catalog of human souls, free, human, human nature, HUMAN POPULATION ACADEMY, human programs, men, Nature, secret, Shan Hai Jing, souls, women
3. Click on, for example, ‘born in april’ tag
3. Note that page https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/human-programs-demo/souls-of-people-born-in-april/ does not show up under https://www.humanpopulationacademy.org/tag/born-in-april/

I disabled scheduled backup and set it to email only, but when I try to do a manual one from the Plugin’s Backup tab, I get the following error: “Something went wrong with your backup. It looks like another process might already be trying to backup your database. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists please contact support.” I tried again in 2 hours – same thing.

“it seems you just don’t have the resources for at the time”
I am not sure how this is possible if everything worked fine until about 3-4 versions of the plugin ago…

Please let me know what the developer says.

I contacted my host and we increased memory_limit from 128 to 256M, and max_execution_time from 30 to 60.

Unfortunately this did not help. With DEBUG set to TRUE I am still getting “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 42205519 bytes) in /home1/humanpop/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/modules/free/backup/class-itsec-backup.php on line 148”
I could increase to 512 for memory limit, but I am not sure that would help at this point.

Is this something you could help me with?

I upgraded to Version 4.3.3, but I am still having the issue.

I set DEBUG to true per your suggestion and I see the following:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 93661259 bytes) in /home1/humanpop/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/modules/free/backup/class-itsec-backup.php on line 148

Please let me know how to fix this.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I am not a developer and I am not sure how to do the things you suggested. The issue is with this plug-in because when I disable iThemes Security 4.2.15 – everything works fine.

Is it possible to roll-back to the previous version of iThemes Security until this issue is fixed?
