“Error establishing a database connection”
is the response I get when I type in my domain name.

If I attempt to access my admin panel at “mydomain/wp-admin” I get this ;
Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at bar0906608194242.db.4032685.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

I checked my blog site this morning, it’s working fine now.
I didn’t make any changes. Maybe a server issue?

I did noticed I had 4,000 spam comments after being gone a week, and their status was ‘approved’ in my blog. Don’t know if maybe someone hacked me and changed some settings. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I don’t know how enough code to fix these issues. Is there a WP file I can re-upload to fix the problem(s)?

I had /%postname%/ in the Custom Structure field in permalinks. Apparently, this was causing the issue? Anyway, if I remove it, the rss feed works fine.

I’m not too savvy about code stuff, but I renamed the .htaccess file to something else,
resaved the permalinks again, and still the same error.

Any other suggestions I might try.
