You should rename the map what include your change default so you can update your wp without worries.
a very good theme to make your own theme is: the naked wordpress (you need some experience in CSS to create a nice looking one)

but now i have a problem. I created the backup in 2.7.1 and then i installed 2.8 and i cant update the database anymore! how do i do that?
first install 2.7.1 and then upgrade to 2.8?
this is the error i get:

i get the following problem

i save the page (publish)when i watch the page i see this
