Same on my site, WordPress 4.8.1
Visual wont save changes at all.
Was trying to change text size with TinyMCE Advanced.
But It didn’t save before already.
After I installed TinyMCE I realised that only works in Visual.

The dont use Visual editor check box in the user panel is not checked.

No idea why im not that knowledge able.

I could not find any plugin settings page.
that was the problem mostly.

It looks like it redirects any URL which has a 404 to the hompage, that works. For example, https://www.my_page/contact,
it redirects to https://www.my_page/ for me thats ok.

What I cant seem to find is the added option/settings page.
any help ?
