the default option means, that if you enable it with “Check to set this shipping method as default when placing an order”, that shipping method will be automatically checked on users’ cart and checkout page. So, if you have multiple shipping methods, and you enable it on one of them, that shipping method will be set as default. Your customer will have the option to change it, but it will be set as default. It’s a good way to promote a certain shipping method or speed up the purchasing process by choosing the most popular shipping method.

I’m assuming that you meant “Free Shipping” feature of our plugin. It’s basically a free shipping over amount option. You can enter a free shipping amount in the “Free Shipping” field. It will offer free delivery when the client’s cart will reach the amount you have entered. Please have in mind that in that case, it will override all the configured shipping costs.

Usually such notice is related to the incorrect configuration of Shipping Zones in WooCommerce. Could you please attach the screenshots illustration how your shipping zones and shipping methods are currently configured?
