Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to maintain multiple versions of the plugin for hosting providers that want to keep running old software or don’t support standard PHP extensions.
Understandable.
Is there a way to support older PHP versions without having to use older versions of the plugin. Hostgator does not support Sqlite3 on PhP7.4 and other comments online say their support is of no help when contacted over that. Yet it is not always possible to change hosting. My fear is that the sites with the old plugin will miss out on new features going forward.
I also tried downgrading to PHP7.3 which supports the required module on hostgator but the plugin kept throwing up errors and wasn’t working fully, so I had to upgrade to 7.4 and install the older plugin version — reluctantly.

In reply to: [PhastPress] Why are webp images created by PhastPress not cached? This was resolved soon after. I don’t know the plugin resolved it or it is because I added a rule to htaccess.
Thank you clarifying; now I understand why you do it.
Normally I would add to styles.css but I want to load the styles conditionally since a few pages do not display most popular posts.

In reply to: [Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP] Filling up error log with PHP errorsThank you. The first error seems to have been resolved. The second error, however, is still there. Only, this time it’s moved to “line 1322” from the earlier line (1318).

In reply to: [Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP] Bimber schemaYou don’t need Yoast’s schema if you are using this plugin; this plugin is superior, offering more free options than Yoast. So deactivate Yoast’s schema features.
I also don’t think you need to use such a bloated theme for your website. Or, your website as it is doesn’t need all the features advertised by Bimber. Everything you have, you can do with the light and well-coded GeneratePress.
Hi @jamesosborne, thanks for the update. I’ve revised my rating to reflect newer updates/developments. And I definitely have a few suggestions, which I will add as feedback.

In reply to: [Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster] It is breaking my websiteTurns out I was wrong. The issue was a code snippet I had added to .htaccess (and that I had used earlier with no problem). I deleted it and everything is back to normal.
I remain a big fan of this plugin.
They really should make it possible to delete these.
Well, I’ve tried again and it’s connected. Not sure about the others, though.
