In reply to: [Plugin: openid] Get a blank page when verifying my openidSame problem with WordPress 2.9.x, when I try to sign-in on any site with my blog name as open id, it takes me to the https://domain.com/index.php/openid/server, with option to Grant access to the site or deny it, choosing either option, just shows a blank page (the page link remains same – https://domain.com/index.php/openid/server ).
Any ideas?

In reply to: WordPress pages not visible behind corporate firewallThere might be some word or phrase present in your layout or posts or url of the blog (but not present in your blog and news post excerpts) which is causing this.
Recently, someone I know, installed wordpress, but it’s main page was not showing, by contacting webhost, it was found that he was using feedburner’s plugin, which added the word “proxy” in main page, which the web host had filtered.
Your customer’s corporate firewall might be doing something similar.

In reply to: setting up test siteWhat about putting wordress files in httpdocs, but renaming wordpress’ index.php file to home.php, so, that it doesn’t replace the holding page. And once the work is done, just rename it back to index.php.
Shouldn’t it work?

In reply to: Sociable Plugin not workingApparently, there is another plugin “Social Bookmarks” in plugins section of www.remarpro.com, that may give similar results. I haven’t tried it yet though.
Here is the link: https://www.dountsis.com/projects/social-bookmarks/

In reply to: Sociable Plugin not workingHmm… Apparently it was some cache problem at my end, that is why it wasn’t showing up.
I am still getting same errors, but the plugin seems to work fine, and all changes are updated too.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: unable to create directory errorsParent directory means, the directory above the current one.
For example, in /var/virtual/web/w1093/html/wp-content/uploads/2007/07
2007 is parent directory of 07
uploads is parent directory of 2007
wp-content is parent directory of uploads and so on.You don’t have to worry about anything before html/, they are controlled by your webhost, most probably, problem is with wp-content or uploads.
About changing permissions, it depends on how you are doing, if you are using ssh or terminal just type
chmod 755 <directory_name>
(where <directory_name> is the name of directory of which you want to change permission). Or if you are using ftp client, every client have different ways of doing things, usually you can right click on directory and choose change permissions.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upload button no longer visible in write post screenI haven’t thoroughly checked the code, but apparently that upload tab is from a seperate file in wp-admin/ directory, called upload.php. Make sure that file is still present.

In reply to: unable to create directory errorsHmm.. well, it does seem like a permission issue. My directory is chmod’ed to 755. That is rwxr-xr-x
