In reply to: How to make “Write” and “Manage” default to pages not postsThis is something I’d be interested in too, as I’m building a site for my grandma’s church. I’m not sure they’d use a blog, but pages deffo!
Perhaps there is a plugin somewhere, or an admin panel theme, speedie… I shall have to go and investigate!

In reply to: Oops! I broke it! (Widget Admin Page!)The only thing I can think of is firstly disabling all of your plugins, then backing up your database, and then upgrading your wordpress to the latest version, which might fix any bugs and kinks…
Perhaps someone else could help if you were more specific… for example what exactly isn’t working, the admin panel? no posts displaying? a php error on your homepage?

In reply to: How do I change the template?Oh, If you are looking at using your website’s current design as a template theme, you’ll need to split it into PHP includes, and then in the index page add in your wordpress codex tags.
This can take a very long time, so have a go at it once you’ve got a good few days off work/school/etc.
For Your Reference: WordPress Template Tags
You’ll find everything you need in the wordpress codex.

In reply to: How do I change the template?I’d suggest firstly downloading a free template. There are hundreds of thousands out there, just look on the wordpress site itself, or search google for some.
Next read this: Using Themes: WordPress Codex.
It is the wordpress guide to using themes!

In reply to: Which professional blog design companies would you recommend?Ah, ok sorry. I didn’t mean to violate the rules.
Still, try WPDESIGNER.com he does some very good free themes, and I believe has a site with pro themes too.
They’re not too graphic-y and pretty though.
