Sorry for the late reply… You have to install iBuddy as you install any WordPress theme, so it should go in ../wp-themes/
Right…so it’s only the buddypress theme itself which is an exception? (because it’s under plugins!) OK, fair enough.
Mate, I would have no idea how to create a child theme – I really don’t want to go there, I wouldn’t have a clue what I’m doing! I’m just trying to create a community site, I’m not into getting my hands dirty coz I don’t know how!
