Looking at https://williambeckerauthor.net/, it looks like you’ve gotten it sorted by using media break-points?

If the menu is fixed (meaning in the sense of content, not the CSS meaning of fixed), we could of course user %, but most menus are subject to change often, so it’s not the best future-proof option.
