Still having trouble getting the Google feed to be read though.

Additionally, It isn’t running the scheduled download based on the Frequency setting I setup. I’m having to do a manual fetch. Any ideas on that too?

I tried adding another feed to the WP-O-Matic campaign

and this one worked fine.

Only thing I wasn’t clear on. I thought WP-O-Matic would pull in the entire post and not just the excerpts. It’s kind of pointless from a content generating standpoint isn’t it?

I’m OK with using it until I am able to get a program that does more (heck it’s free) but I’d like to figure out why the Google News Feed isn’t working with WP-O-Matic. Any input would be much appreciated.

OK, so I just went through and added a number to the page order in order to keep the pages in publish order. This is a bit clumsy because all I wanted was to be able to sort my pages in the admin panel for quick reference. Now I have to go back to the previous page to find out what the last page order number I gave so i can give a higher number on the next one. I’d love to hear any other solutions.

Actually I just found a plugin that works well. I think it’s called Embed Iframe.

I installed wp-o-matic, installed the cron file, added the simplepie core and I get no errors or indications that the program isn’t working but I get no data from my feeds. I’ve checked timing and all the options. I’ve tried to do a manual fetch on one campaign but it says 0 posts. I know there have been articles added to the feed because I have a feed scroller running on my site also and it’s always showing new content.

Just curious if you have any thoughts.

How do I remove the spam links? How do I find them and identify them and then safely remove them with out messing everything else up?

Also I noticed that suddenly the Home Tab disappeared. Not sure why. I didn’t do anything to make it do that as far as I can tell.

I tried what you suggested and since it’s all alien to me, I just kept breaking it. All kinds of errors and no content. I guess I just don’t know enough about php (I don’t know anything)

If it’s not inappropriate to ask for help from anyone who is willing to give additional help. If someone might look at the source code on my page and tell me what to put in and where. If I had the ability to pay someone right now I would happily. If it’s inappropriate I understand.

Anyone able to see why some of my images are not showing up. Specifically the background image and the page border images. I corrected the URI’s for each of them and verified the images are in fact in that location.

oh, by the way I changed the permalink to https://www.mylocalinteractive.com/superleads

Well after ripping my hair out it seems I had an old copy of the php file in the root directory that was being referenced. I deleted the old php file. Re-uploaded the new one and it seems to be working fine.

Now I just have to find out why some of the graphics are working ok and some are not.

That was pretty lame of me. I did go and change the wp-admin to wp-content and now the header image is showing up but none of the border images or background are showing up. Am I just that blind that I’m not pointing to the right place?

I really appreciate the 2nd set of eyes and the tips.

Yes that definitely helps. I didn’t know about the whole Codex thing. I’ll me making use of that frequently I’m sure.

Here’s another fix for people who just want a simple landing page for their site. I haven’t tested it yet but with the combination of a custom web template and the tip given by TomMaitland it should work perfect.
I think you do have to know a little html though.

OK, well forgive my impatience. I waited for about 15 minutes and the permalinks weren’t working for some reason and then I made this post. But then after a while longer they started working just fine. I’m just using the /%postname%/ permalink and it works great.

I appreciate the help other people are willing to give.

I tried to set my permalink setting to /%postname%/ but when I click on the link to the post, I get a 404 error page. I’m using a theme I downloaded and obviously a little green. would that have to do with the .htaccess file writable? If so, how would I make that file writeable? If not, what else could cause that problem and how do I fix?
