I’m having the same problem. Just sent an email to support on this issue but now disappointed to see that it has been going on for 10 months and still doesn’t appear to be resolved. Plugin hasn’t been updated for 12 months. I think it’s a great plugin and appreciate it very much just wish it was dialed in a little better.

I’ve searched the profile tags and while it appears there’s a lot of plugins out there but nothing I could find that would actually do what I need. I thought of a good example of what I’m trying to do. When I signed up for EmpowerNetwork (a long time ago, briefly) I just entered my profile information and photo and voila, I had a page that while it looked like the EN home page, it was still branded to me. That sure looked similar to a Multisite application and basically is exactly what I’m looking to do and even include a referral / affiliate type tracking (even though nothing is being sold via ecommerce).

I understand the basics of setting up a Multisite but I’m not sure how to facilitate the rest. Any pointers would be great.

After doing some research all night last night I’m starting to realize that “profile” page is probably not the right term to use. What I really want is to have a landing(squeeze) page template that when someone registers, it is automatically generated for them and populated with information from their profile including photo, contact information and a brief bio.
Is that something that can be done with BuddyPress?
Is that done with Multisite?

Any other suggestions? Ultimately we’ll hire someone to build/maintain this but for the moment we need to do it on our own as non programmers.

OK, I played with mp3-jplayer and the only problem with that is that I can only add a pop out player to a widget (as far as I’ve been able to figure out.) Even then it requires the user to click on a link/button that’s not very clear to make the player a popout. That would require too many instructions for the user.

Any other suggestions to get a new window or tab to open but keep the focus on the current page/tab?

I did add the _blank target to the link but the problem is it opens in a new tab and the focus goes to the new tab.

You’ll have to change the line
$markup = get_post_meta( $post_id, $video_key, true );
to
$markup = ‘https://youtube.com/watch?v=’ . get_post_meta( $post_id, $video_key, true );
and set the custom field value to _tern_wp_youtube_video. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Suherland, thanks for the great plugin. Question I have as a non programmer, which file am I replacing the code mentioned above to get the Thumbnails to work in AYVP plugin as discussed?

Oh by the way I’m using the SoMoSocial child theme with Genesis. It does support featured images.

So I ended up forcing it to subdomain using Adrea_r suggestion on the following post:

If you follow wp-o-matic on twitter you see they keep promising the launch of their new version and most recently about 2 weeks ago. Before that it was in June. Point is… if you use the WP-O-Matic plugin, don’t expect any kind of support and I’m sure the new launch will be a paid product (which if it does what it claims to do it should be paid for). Anyway. Keep the expectations low until you see an actual launch.
