Thanks for that, but I’m still stumped as to how to fix this, when i created the custom page template, I just copied the original files and changed a few bits and like I said coding is not a strong point of mine.

I also created a footer-alt.php file and changed the last 2 lines in the custom-sidebar-page.php to what is below, but that fails to load the footer-alt

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
<?php get_footer-alt(); ?>

I know it’s not your problem, but can you point me in the right direction please, there are obviously things that should be changed that haven’t been.

Thanks, tried that, but it lists everything on the site, I tried adding in limit=”5″ trying to restrict it to the last 5 entries but that had no effect on it.

I have sorted out the events needing approval problem, but I desperately need to resolve the drop down menu problem.

I have added a note to the page it’s on asking that no one submit an event until it’s fixed, so I’m just hoping they play nice.

Got another problem now as well, I turned on the drop down locations picker to see what it looked like and now it won’t go away after turning it off.

Bit of a problem when someone submitting an event can’t choose their location.

The test event you just added published by itself, without moderation.

Just trying something I found in another thread at the moment, I suspect that everything is being published because I had Guest Default User set to my admin Username

As I stated in the opening post, I have unchecked everything, for Editor, Author, Contributor and Subscriber, only Administrator has any permissions to do anything.

I have found what the issue is, I use pretty links because the Real Estate plugin requires it, however Polylang seems to only function properly when using default permalinks.

Is there a fix for this problem, I am forced to use the pretty links (custom structure /%postname%/) so I must stick with them.

I sincerely hope you can help me with this as I really like Polylang for it’s ease of use, it’s just what I was looking for.

By the way the Real Estate plugin I am using is FireStorm Professional Real Estate and I don’t want to go away from that either, it is perfect for what I am doing with it.
