I switched to the real time view of the plugin in my dashboard and also logged into the real time view in my google analytics account and then i visited some pages on my site which i first noticed were not showing up in the pages view of the plugin.
To my surprise when i visited these pages the live view both from the plugin and in my analytics account were recording it but even hours after they never showed up in the pages view of the plugin.
I pay attention only to the bounces rate and the pages view of the plugin and both have been reading incorrectly. Fewer pages are reported in the pages views even when it is seen in the real time view and my bounce rate have been recording higher values.
Initially when i first optimized my site the bounce rate dropped which was expected and the pages were still reading well but suddenly i noticed the something was wrong. Other stats are equally wrong like the number of visitors.
What do you think could be the problem and how do you advice i go about resolving it?
Thanks

I don’t think varnish is installed and like i said in my very first post above when i disable wordfence both plugin dashboards (jetpack site statistics and google analytics dashboard for wp) work perfectly.
WFMattR,
Thank you for your response but to begin with i really don’t know where to check if my host is using varnish outside of wordpress also i disable the “Hide WordPress version” but the problem still lingers.
For the varnish caching i merely check my cpanel and i did not see thing like that.
PetraP,
It worked perfectly.Thank you. I don’t know if you can be of help regarding the fact that i use a child theme and if it is possible to have the changes within the child theme instead.
Hi PetraP,
Thank you for getting back to me. Like i mentioned in the post above, i was using this :
twentyfourteen_post_nav();
<?php wp_related_posts()?>and the result was a blank page.
I have just tried this:
twentyfourteen_post_nav();
wp_related_posts();The site did load but side widgets, ads, etc did not load. I need to also mention that i have this setting within zemanta unchecked:
“Auto Insert Related Posts or add <?php zemanta_related_posts()?>
to your single post template)”I am keeping watch for you reply at the moment if you are online now.
Thanks for your reply.
Alin,
Thank you man. I cleared only my brower cookies and other site and plug in data in chrome and then Ctrl+F5 and it started working. Need to say that merely clearing the cookies was not enough. At this point the following error in the browser console was gone:
Uncaught ReferenceError: gadwp_item_data is not defined reports.js:4 was gone.
But this initial error was still present in the browser console:
Uncaught s1.wp.com/wp-includes/charts/flot/jquery.flot.retina.js:3
TypeError:Cannot read property ‘plugins’ of undefinedSo i closed the tab and visited /wp-admin in a new tab and checked again and the error is all gone. Thank you very much for the support and the inclusion of the technology feature. I love it.
Hi Alin,
Unfortunately the update did not work for me. I need to say that since the last time i opened this thread it has become difficult to get the dashboard populated with the stats because the approach that i described above were no longer working so i just keep clicked back and forth from wp-admin/ page until i get lucky.
However with this new update that i had been looking forward to, things appear to have gotten worse because the post list no longer work in addition to dashboard widget not working. If i click on the post widget it does not even show up much less displaying the stats.
There are no error messages from the plugin but this what i get from the browser console:
Uncaught ReferenceError: gadwp_item_data is not defined reports.js:4
Uncaught s1.wp.com/wp-includes/charts/flot/jquery.flot.retina.js:3
TypeError:Cannot read property ‘plugins’ of undefinedThanks Alin,
I am happy that the description of the problem made it easy to identify the issue and i am looking forward to the update. Excellent support from you and keep up the good work.
Can anyone help me with the problem above?
Hi Alin,
I am having the same problem and and i tried to follow in the steps of @glennar1 by clearing the cache and authorization and the re-authorized but all i get is the widget and it does not display any result.
However if i go to my list of posts and click on any of the analytic icon (which always works) next of any of the post and then go back to my wordpress dashboard the widget will then display the result. This issue started today. I will be glad if you can help me out.
I had already edited my post before seeing your reply. I admit i jumped to conclusions but it was state of mind at that time and considering that i had developed an almost obsessive attachment to this plugin. More than 80% of the time when i visit my dashboard it my stats displayed by this plugin that am going to check.
Please accept my apology.
