Well, it appears the em tag I put in my post has been recognized in a way I didn’t want…

I’m using the free version of the Platform theme, and italics is not working. The HTML shows the em tag in the post editor but but it is being dropped when uploaded to the site (when I check the HTML in Firefox the em tags are missing).

If this is a permanent bug, then I’m off Platform and I’ll have to start again with another theme. I really like the simple Twenty Eleven theme (my first blog uses Twenty Ten) but unfortunately it only supports two columns and I need three.

    Any help appreciated.

My blog is embedded in my website using Fantastico. If I upgrade via there, it brings me back to 3.1. But my D&D function is still lost. If I then upgrade via my dashboard, it upgrades to 3.1.3 but no change. Turning off my plug-ins makes no difference.

Any other ideas? Or am I doomed to have to delete my blog and reinstall?

I should add that if you install the plug-in before setting up the profile, it’s not actually a problem: just edit the code for the plug-in, changing your account number from the default “XX-etc” to your profile account number. Then go into your Google account and test the page to see if it’s now collecting data.

    Hi MattyRob:

Thanks for this. Interestingly enough, I changed my email notifications to HTML from Plain Text and unwittingly solved the problem. Now I understand how and why. Much obliged.

Note that while WP forum has automatically hyperlinked the link, the email via Subscribe2 doesn’t.
