A potential security issue was found regarding logging of passwords (since GET was used instead of POST). Sidebar Login 2.5 resolves this and the widget has been removed from WC to prevent needing to maintain two (virtually identical) codebases

The only problem I was having was to get it running off of my own webserver. As long as I use your webserver, it works fine. Although, I wanted to keep my site as “independent” as possible, do you have any instructions for setting up your scripts to run on ones own server?
