Please provide number of your ticket or provide what’s happened when you try to install PRO version. Then I’ll provide solution and will fix the bug in several hours.

1. You have to choose either full backup or only the database (and optionally folders, such as plugins and themes).

2. The plugin has a ‘safe update’ option enabled by default, when it enabled, the plugin could not break your database and if it is disabled, then you will have broken all his fault.
Before restoring the database goes through many stages of checks and warnings, maybe you ignored them?
