Hi,
since it’s been quiet here a few days, a quick follow-up as to why it makes sense to have the address line 2-field above line 1 on the label, in my opinion of course:The label usually goes form most specific (name/person) to least specific (country).
The address line 2 is meant for additional information for line 1, e.g. more specific than the street adress, but still less specific than the actual person.
So it makes sense to have the following layout on the label:[most specific]
<i>Name/Person
Office/Appartement
Street Address
City
Country</i>
[least specific]It also makes sense to have the actual “address 2” – input-field below the “line 1”-input on Woocommerce-checkout, since most end-users won’t need to specify which part of the house the package will have to go to find them.
Hope that made sense to you ??
Let me know if there’s anything I can do to clear this up.Thanks and best wishes,
Bastian
Hi Ilya,
thanks for following this up!
Regarding the address line:
I don’t know how DHL and their mailmen read the labels, but having the office or appartement number above the street address doesn’t strike me as weird, that actually makes sense to me.
More sense than making the adress line unreadably small anyways.
I just checked with a vanilla woocommerce install and the address line 2 is available at checkout too – why would you think there should only be one?
How should we proceed with this?I found the “Label format” setting, thanks!
We didn’t see this before, because it is weirdly translated in German
– it says “Format beschriften”, which translates to “label the format”.
(seems to be auto translated, as it uses the wrong contextual meaning of “label” and of “format” here ?? )
“Etikettenformat” would be a better translation.Best wishes,
Bastian
Great,
looking forward to updates!
Have a wonderful friday as well
Hi Ilya,
thanks for your reply!
at the moment, the value from Address Line 2 field is entered into the “No.” input of the DHL interface, which on the label is added to the same line as the “Address line 1”, resulting in a too long line overall.
I would like to have the input of the Address Line 2 field on a separate line on the label. Here’s a link to the label as we get it from woocommerce (in this case “Appartement 301) was entered into Address Line 2) : https://bastian-boehm.de/temp/dhl-label-wide.pdf
Here’s how we want it (that’s how we get it if we go through the DHL-interface manually): https://bastian-boehm.de/temp/dhl-label-desired.pdf
Thanks and Best Wishes,
Bastian
I just encountered the very same problem.
Switched over to using the “Slide Popup” video-feature, which works.
That’s not the ideal solution though, since I wanted to use the youtube-nocookie domain, which the plugin doesn’t want in that field. In any case, I’ll be interested in any possible solutions or bugfixes regarding this problem too.
Edit: Sorry, I just realised I’m using the “Pro”-Version on that site, which is why I’m able to use the video-popup.
Since the issue seems to concern the base plugin though, I’ll let my entry stay here as a +1.- This reply was modified 2 years, 10 months ago by baboehm.

In reply to: [WC Fields Factory] Multilingual – no “English”-option (wpml)Thanks!
It works for “text”-fields now.
Albeit it doesn’t seem to work for the “label”-field.
That may well be a different problem though – I’ll see if I can find out anything about this tomorrow.
Should you know why that could be, any pointers would be appreciated though ??Bet wishes,
Bastian

You might want to check out their “Go Global Program” https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/ if you’re willing to put some time into this.
As I said, I’ll be happy to assist in any way too.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] issue with translation with WPMLYou should also be able to reassign the language of selected strings, in case you come across this more often:
- Mark the string(s) with the wrongly assigned language
- Scroll down to the bottom of the table and look for a button called “change language of selected strings” (I’m not sure about the actual wording in English, as I usually see it in German) – right next to “delete selected strings”
- Choose Polish or whatever language you prefer
Of course in that case you may then have to add the english translations yourself.
That’s great news.
Thanks!
Hi Angelo,
Great, thanks!
Let me know if I can do anything else or it gets fixed ??Hi angelo,
thanks for your answer. For the moment we resorted to just manually adding an “online”-category and limiting the events_list in question to that category.
I will dig through the code at some other time.
Are you planning to add this feature to the plugin at some point in the future?
Thanks again and best wishes,
Bastian
