Just installed Smart Update Pinger plugin on WP 2.0.4 and after posting checked the Ping Log to find a long list of errors in three categories:
“transport error – HTTP status code was not 200”
“transport error – could not open socket: 110 Connection timed out”
“parse error. not well formed”
Some URLs were successfully pinged.
From what have been reading it’s not a simple topic. If anyone has some recommeneded reading or other resources, this would be much appreciated. — thanks!
