In reply to: Site went bonkers on meThis is what I would do, to try and fix it. Note the word TRY.
Firstly have you the latest version of wordpress installed. Is the theme and plugins all up to date.
I noticed you have the login page diverted to the front page.I would, using FTP, change the name of your theme, for example put the figure 1, in the name, that should divert the theme to the WP default theme. See then if the site has come back normal (with the default theme) If it has it was the theme that was causing the problem.
If it has not I would, again using ftp, change the name of all the plugins, that will turn the plugins off, but keep them installed, again see if the site has come back normal, if it has its one of the plugins that is causing the problem.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard Update not workingI use two hosting accounts with two different companies. With one hosting company, I can not automatically update through the dashboard. They claim I can not update if I installed with Fantastico and that they have an old type of control panel on my account, which they need to update.
True or not I do not know, but it is your hosting. I now update sites manually with that hosting account.
On new sites, again with that hosting, I install manually, which the sites now automatically update themselves.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Category pageI have access through Proxy sites blocked. This is a security thing I do on all my sites, as I find a lot of spammers come through Proxies.
I have deactivated the plugin for the time being until I have time to go back and sort it.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Facebook word countI do not want to show the facebook link in the heading, just the title of the post.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Facebook word countOk, yes I do think they are to big. Here is an example, from the same facebook page and the way they were posted on my test site.
Nursing mother urgently needed ( dog) in Wexford
thats a perfect heading.2ed example
Found Delgany https://www.facebook.com/greystonesvet/posts/407329532737
the second one, shows the facebook link instead of just “Found Delgany”
I want it, if it can be done, just to show the heading not the facebook link, in the title

In reply to: Blog name appearing twice in home page titleHave a look at your tagline in the settings page. That is normally what shows up on the tab.
Also what have you called your home page, is it coolbusinessideas.com, if it is, change it to something else like test and see will that make a difference.

In reply to: How to display images on left or right side of my per post page? The way I do it is as follows.
I go to write a post. I upload the photo/advertisement. I then change the post to view in text. I copy the code. Then I go to Appearance/ Widget. get a text widget, put it in the sidebar, open it and paste the code into it, click on save.
Go and look at your site and the photo/advertisement should be showing in the sidebar. If the photo is to big, open up the text widget and change the size to suit your sidebar.
