    How do I deactivate or reset the plug-ins folder without access to the admin area? I’ve never had this issue with any of my other WP blogs before, so I’m not sure of how to do it.

    I did get one more useful tidbit from my host: they said it was a plug-in that was causing “temporary table creation,” and that was the problem. However, I guess it’s not something I can watch in action by going to PHPMyAdmin while I try to access the site from another tab. So I don’t know what these tables are called or anything.

    Where in your SQL database did you change the key? And did you change anything else, like the function from blank to ASCII or something else? I’m having this problem with WordPress 2.8.1.

    Yes, where does one put that code? I’ve tried looking at the sidebar code for my theme, but I don’t see anything, but there is a general snippet of PHP for including the “widgetized” sidebar, which is dynamic. So is there a way to add this to the existing tag “cloud” widget, rather than having to install a new one?
