yeah, I know about the moderating, but i just dont have the time, and even when i do i dont feel like moderating. I dont get much spam through because of the plugins i have, and i have that polite filter on and working, but i wanted that system where people comment, then get the email that tells them to click this link to post the comment. Which is where Skippys plugin came in, but that isnt working.

I dint get an email, perhaps my buddy did, but really, would you suggest changing companys? I really think they just did it because of the /. crazyness. But I really would like your opinion. You can take it offline if it is not pertinant to this forum?

hummmm…. Thanks podz, I just looked in the control panel of the site, and it seems ALL permissions have be set to dr——– or -r——— . Could this be the prob? Perhaps the company changed it after all the /. traffic? I looked in the stats and its just bananas how many people visited!

well, stupid me, i was putting the coder in your last post in there, hense the wierdness with the whole area being clickable…but anyway, so I put this:

and just the photo is clickable, but like you said, on some of my posts i use the more script to add words or more photos, so it doesnt work (and when i go to a permalink of the photo, the photo doesnt show up)
Any other ideas anyone?

Ah! Spoke too soon..when i went to click on a photo in my archive, the photo wouldnt pull up…i need to play with it some more

cool man..it worked!….it did take me a couple minutes to realize why two of the same photos were coming up…then i deleted the get content code that was already in place ??
there is one wierd thing though…the whole area (story content or whatever) is clickable, not just the photo (vertical is ok, but its clickable horizontaly in the black area)

Damn, really?! I’ve been messing with that, but cant figure it out so I figured (and a web friend of mine figured) that there must be a file that defines what that does….anyway, thanks for the quick reply and if anyone knows how to do what I need, I would appreciate any help.

I am pretty sure there are numerous problems with Ecto and WP…I couldnt upload a photo with it before, and categories didn’t work. Thormod helped me with the –more– script and whatnot, and now I can uplad photos (!) which is great, but still no categories, and right after it posts to my blog it crashes and quits (not SUCH a big deal)…I really wish it worked perfectly though…hint hint

Yup, I’m still there too, even after checking permissions….Also, it does not seem to think I posted the first 9 days of each month???

Is it possible to have the exhibit thumbs show up in the post but AFTER the <–more–> tag?

I just found out how to do this….
I too put a thumbnail in my exerpt field
then in wp-rss2.php i found this…the_excerpt_rss(get_settings(‘rss_excerpt_length’), 2)…
and like as stated above, change the two to 1
set your Syndication Feeds in your Reading Options to Summary
Thats it BUT, it did not seem to work until I unsubscribed from Net News Wire, then re-subscribed.
