In reply to: media upload bugI’m not sure what they did to fix it in word press, unfortunately. He actually logged onto my WordPress without even needing the password which I didn’t know they could do. Well, what he actually said was “I am going to change your WordPress password to your Go Daddy password, login, fix it and then change your password back again”.
That work around sounds very cumbersome. I completely agree, it depends on who answers the phone. I was not changed over to Linux but they fixed mine. Really hope you can get this sorted out soon. I was pulling my hair out with it.

In reply to: media upload bugI am pretty sure you have tried this but worth saying just in case: when Go Daddy reset the permissions you have to log out of the account and then log back in.
Also, the guy who fixed mine didn’t get it right first time. In the end he logged on to my WordPress account remotely and fixed it that way so maybe they need to do that to fix the problem?
Not sure if this is useful but I phoned the London call centre (020 7084 1810) and worked through the automated system to get tech support for hosting and spoke to an Americam guy called Chris. He was really helpful.
It is immensely frustrating, I was pulling my hair out over it. I think I was just lucky to get someone who was really helpful and stuck with it to get it fixed.

In reply to: media upload bugI was unable to upload images for about four days. However, today I was on the phone to Go Daddy for about half an hour and the problem was fixed then and there.

In reply to: media upload bugI am not on Linux and they fixed mine but the guy did try to change me over to that at the end of the call. I said I would look into it because, although he was really helpful fixing the problem, it sounded a bit sales pitchy.

In reply to: media upload bugI have managed to get mine fixed. Another forum suggested phoning my host (Go Daddy) and they reset the file permissions. Out of interest, on the other forum, two others with the same problem were also hosted by Go Daddy.

In reply to: media upload bugI am having the same problem. I have not been able to upload images for four days. I keep getting the following message:
“The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/12.”
I am pretty hopeless with code but I do not think I use FTP so I am not sure how to fix this problem.
