Hello, thank you very much for your detailed reply, I did go through all the steps you suggested, then I got the solution from someone at Divi support, which solved the issue, this is what he suggested
“
Based on my past experience with similar issue and type of Error I see, I will suggest a couple of things here:
1)
It could be related to ModSecurity and it will not show up any error in PHP error logs. It might be showing up some errors in the Mod Security Error Logs and your Web Host will have access to those logs. That is the major candidate in this type of issue. Can you please contact your Web Host and request them to set this variable in the config file of ModSecurity (In the modsec2.user.conf file most probably):
SecResponseBodyLimit 1048576
They can either use this value or any higher possible value for the given setting.
They can also check and increase the LimitRequestBody as well.
Once that is updated and confirmed from their end, then you can check again at your end and see how it goes ??
2)
If the issue persists,Check with the Web Host if limits are reached on your server. They can check if you still have enough resources available on your Server. And also check the
Tmp
folder to see if that is fine and not full.
?Let me know how it goes after these changes. ??
I want to post it here , so that anyone else running into similar issues can try this
Hi I have a similar problem to these mention here, I am unable to activate the Divi Visual Builder, it looks like it is doing something then nothing the page remains as it is. I tried putting WordFence into learning mode, it did not help, what is odd though is that on one website it only affects the home page, in addition to that there is a footer built with the Divi builder which also seems to be involved in the blocking. If I deactivate WordFence and go back to the home page and refresh it immediately goes into edit mode.
Also after an attempted activation of activating the visual builder, a whole lot of random text appears below the footer, so far the only way I have been able to edit is to deactivate WordFence.
what is the solution for this?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Brands for WooCommerce] Changibg short code settingsHello Oleg
That is great, but my question is how to set up or edit the short codes that are shown there, I don’t see any option as to how to edit them, which was my original question. For example the first short option
?[brb_catalog] has the option to change the display from vertical to horizontal, but How do I do that?

Oh I forgot to mention in my last post, when I use the 465 port that is when I get the error message that started this post in the first place.
Hello, thank you for your message, I do want to ask a question as I have spoken to the host and did some testing of my own.
If I use the default option, it works but the confirmation message comes as a plain text message, now if I use Other SMTP with port 465 as recommended by the host, it doesn’t come through but times out. However if I use port number 587 it works perfectly and I receive a proper html email.
Is there any issue with using 587 as the outgoing port?
What are the advantages of using 465?HI
OK thank you I will contact my host, in the meantime could I ask is the default option the better one to use, since it is a default?
Hi OK I understand, sometimes I use the default option, but more often the “Other SMTP” option, in this case it would be the SMTP provider by the host company, all the errors I’ve been receiving are on sites on the same hosting environment. They have recently upgraded their servers and moved all my accounts to the new server, could that be relevant?

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Changing user role permissionsDo we ever get any response from the developers on this forum.
Right now I have no idea how this plugin is supposed to work, I didn’t add or install it, but it is creating problems for my client who is depending on this. I found the User Role Editor, selected “Consultant” that is the user level who can now view job listings but cannot add new listings as soon as I try I get “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”. Where I am looking I assume is what assigns permissions to the role but I cannot find anything that would. Of the many options show here which one would give the user
permission to create new jobs? Does anyone have any idea how to give a User Role permission to create a new job?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Changing user role permissionsHello Guys, I believe I have made a new discovery, the Job Manager plug-in, has many parts such as additional plug-ins that do specific jobs. I did not know this before, so knowing which part does what can be a mission.
So now I can access the job listing, but when I click on “Add new” I get the error message “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”. So does anyone know which of the additional accessory plug-ins handles that aspect of this?
Also it seems when on updates WordPress it somehow deactivates certain plugins, I have had this happen several times, why? I do not know.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Changing user role permissionsHi ,
OK I found the Role Editor but I cannot see where to change permissions anywhere there, However, I did fix the problem by activating a plugin called Regions for WP Job Manager, why that was deactivated I have no idea I have only recently taken on the care of this website.Ian

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Changing user role permissionsFurther data on this issue, I thought creating a new user and password with the same role to see if that would clear the problem. It did not. It is possible to access data with an admin login, but one doesn’t necessarily give that level of access to everyone.
I hope the creators of the software have a solution for this issue.
I also tried rolling the Job Manager plugin to a previous version, also didn’t work!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce and POS issueHello
Thank you for your response, I did try the fix by editing the DataStore.php file in WooCommerce, unfortunately it didn’t fix the problem. I saw that some people have had success with this fix, unfortunately I did not have any luck with it ??
Is there anything else I can try?Ian
