Any thoughts on what might be the issue? I’m leaving the accordion in place so you can see it. Sorry about the hosts file requirement, but I don’t have easy access to DNS to reroute my staging server using a subdomain.

As it stands now I can’t seem to get iframe embedded YouTube videos to show up no matter what I do.

It’s a little tricky, because I am working on a beta site redesign.

If you modify your hosts file to point sifuochwingchun.com to 50.115.112.84

then you will see it on the home page.

Thanks so much for looking into this. I went with your plugin specifically to get video embedded in the accordion.

I purchased the slider plugin, and added this code for a video panel as part of an accordion style slider (the following code is added to a video layer within the first slide):

…but it doesn’t seem to be working properly. The video doesn’t show up at all (nor does the top text title layer). I also tried it with adding an image layer underneath and without.

Are there any tips you can give me? The goal is a video that fills the entire space, and expands/contracts like an image would (as you described above).

Make sure your mailChimp List does not have any additional REQUIRED fields other than email and name.
If it does, just change those fields to be not required.

Resolved for me. I’m using WPEngine with their CDN.

I’m guessing we’re in a bit of limbo as this is Yahoo! The developers are listed as:

But I think it’s likely an API and Yahoo! server load issue at this point.

I noticed the same thing and had to disable it. WP Engine concurred that it was on SmushIt’s side of things as well.

I now think it’s a theme issue as I don’t see it on all of my sites either.

That fixes rel=”author” but breaks the G+ link in the author profile box.

I would like to put in a vote for this feature as well. I’d love to be able to capture additional volunteered information like a Phone number…

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something like that, unfortunately, we’re using the PowerMag theme and I can’t seem to locate a similar scenario.

It’s clearly hitting a line of code and then stopping. I just cannot figure out what the offending code is.

Understood, and thank you so much for your support—way above and beyond the call! I actually did note that feature you added to lock the output to the main loop. That didn’t seem to affect it. I’ll follow up with the theme authors for sure and reference this thread.

I’m almost positive it’s a theme issue, as I can replicate the problem with several Author plug-ins. So the remaining challenge is to fix it with the theme I’m using.

This is a case where I’m appealing to your knowledge base of the plug-in (as an author) to see if you might be able to suggest where the plugin might be getting duplicated by the theme.

I’m almost 100% certain this isn’t a coding error on your plug-in—yet it remains a potential issue for some whose themes may work similar to how mine does.

I’m using Gabfire’s newspro theme.

I’ll volunteer to be a test bunny if you think the beta version has an option that may remedy this…

Dialing back the theme is less desirable because it doesn’t give me a solution and this is a very “live” site.

I have determined that it is a problem with my theme, however the only workaround would be to have shortcode I could manually insert for WP About Author. Does anyone know what this might look like?
