In reply to: Script to move Simple Tagging data into WordPress 2.5.1?What’s the point of a help forum if no one helps? Mine is certainly not the only unanswered post.
Never mind, after Googling for a bit longer (if I’d Googled longer in the first place and not bothered with this forum I’d have saved myself 8 hours) I found someone else HAD written a script to convert Simple Tags.
Go to your Dashboard, choose the Manage tab then Import and choose Simple Tagging. This will not only import your Simple Tagging data but add it to your posts.
Here ends my attempt to make the help forum actually helpful, and not a time waster before you go back to Google…

In reply to: Gap between category linksThanks both of you for your help. I’ll give the CSS change a try.
I had a chance to view the site in IE (I’ve been using Safari and Firefox) and the gaps are replaced by lines. It never fails to amaze me how different the browsers are in how they render code.

In reply to: Gap between category linksThanks miklb.
I tried removing the UL tags from sidebar.php
<ul>
<?php wp_list_cats(); ?>
</ul>became
<?php wp_list_cats(); ?>
but the gap between the subcategories and categories didn’t go away and bullet points appeared in front of the categories so I restored the original.
How can I get rid of the gaps? Is there somewhere else I can remove the extra
<ul>

In reply to: WordPress address (URI)No, because I know it can’t be done. The domain name is applied to the IP my network shows to the world and that IP isn’t used inside the network.
I just wish I had something I could put into the URL fields that would allow my Word Press to be readable inside and outside the network at the same time.
I had a similar problem with the first Word Press 1.2 blog I owned, but I went through and removed / so that it would (mostly) function and look the same inside and outside the network. Word Press 1.5 is very different to 1.2 and I don’t even know where to start removing / in 1.5.
