I am sending the feed to MailChimp and it appears that the feed point size is set in WordPress BEFORE it arrives at MailChimp

I don’t know if it’s the same issue but if I enable minify it consistently breaks my site with a similar setup (EC2 Ubuntu/APC) but when I enabled debug for minify it magically starts working. The only error I could find was this in the apache error log:

Yes that is what I do.

The changed I make there are not saved/or not visible. It does not seem to be cache related.

I bought the cube which is cool, but my images are to large for now.

I removed the navigation at the bottom. The images do not always display correctly. If you watch it, sometimes an image will move down. I sped up the display to hide the fact is was displaying some images twice.
