The simple plugin does not provide search field for authors, but probably I will add it.

I am thinking to maybe add a settings tab to the plugin so the user can decide where to have a search field ??

This plugin was written fir simple categories, but I will probably build in woocommerce support for the pro version.

After you set up the plugin, you have a settings page under the settings menu, like the screenshot attached. There you can enter the credentials you want to use.
