Never mind, I just solved the issue.

It seems like the PHP container was not able to make a request to the NGINX container on my end.

For answer seekers about this issue: Check your docker-compose.yml or the docker config file and take a look at your network settings. Make sure your containers can talk with each other and access to same networks.

Our plugin provides exact error messages like that one which points our users to the root of the issue. In order to plugin work, it requires read/write permission for the wp-content/custom_codes folder. I believe you can simply arrange that by following this articles:

Looks like your website/server has a general permission issue. Custom Codes are not conflicting any other theme builder or WordPress functions such as Customizer.
