In reply to: 'My Sites' list brokenAlso, for some reason when I upgraded w3tc all my config got lost, so do check that it’s even there to avoid any confusion later.
I’m in the process of uninstalling the plugin (using a guide like this) by deleting a bunch of stuff the plugin creates in your wp-content folder.

In reply to: 'My Sites' list brokenAlright, well this is the info I gathered and where I’m headed:
The new update to W3TC basically re-writes a lot of stuff and therefore it isn’t just a simple upgrade to the previous version.
I’m running multisite on WP 3.5.1 and believe me (ask Mika) I was getting really good results, but then I upgraded to 0.9.2.8 and I realized the plugin switched itself from being activated individually on each site to being network activated (i.e. only one config could be set up and I couldn’t activate it just per site in the network).
After I saved the configuration file like the plugin asked me, the issue with the repeated sites in the “My Sites” list went away.
According to this thread the issue is related to the plugin changes and it’s advised you save your current configuration (if you didn’t already before you updated) and then uninstall w3tc altogether and install a fresh setup of the new version.
It’s a pain, sure, but it’s not all the w3tc dev’s fault. We just have to be more careful and maybe not be so hasty in upgrading in the future.

In reply to: 'My Sites' list brokenOh… right. Just started fiddling with it and all my awesome config went with the upgrade (yay…). On the upside it DID solve the issue I had here!!!
Thanks, Mika! You’ve saved my butt twice this year and we’re not even halfway through the year!
Somehow I just know my head will explode anyways when Buddypress 1.7 finally comes out. That’s… I’ll just be happy for this moment.

In reply to: 'My Sites' list brokenlol! well, I did actually upgrade it, but I haven’t actually sat down to see if the changes in the new version affect my install.
Any particulars I should be looking for?
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: 'My Sites' list brokenI’m experiencing this same exact issue as well. Rather than displaying all my sites on the network, the list only shows the site I’m currently on repeated as many times in the list as the amount of sites in my network.
When I click on one of the links in the list I’m also just sent to the dashboard of the site.

In reply to: Site resolving really slowOh thank you so much!!! I’ll get on this asap. Thank you very much for all your help, this has been about the best support assistance I’ve ever received!

In reply to: Site resolving really slowAlright, in that case I’ll work on compressing as many images as I can. I tried making a one image sprite combining all of my images (I used https://spriteme.org/), but apparently it’s hard to do this with images that have repeat-x or such.
Also… no idea about that .swf file. I’ll look into it.
Thanks a lot to everyone in this thread for your assistance. ??
Also: @mika, sorry to pry, but for some reason I can’t get into SSH for a different domain I own through Dhost. I made a support request about a day and a half ago, but haven’t heard anything yet and the message I got while trying to SSH is that there’s possible DNS spoofing involved (or the RSA key changed, but I don’t know about that). Is there any chance you could tell me what’s up with that?

In reply to: Site resolving really slow@t-p Thank you for the link, I checked the site and the test showed that GZIP is active.
@mika I checked on that exact page for instructions, but I couldn’t get it to work when I tried the commands in SSH. I’m a n00b in that department.
Any idea why the issue with render times persist on Chrome, but not the other browsers? Did any of you experience a similar delay with the render times?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site resolving really slowI thought about adding gzip compression through SSH, but I don’t think I can do that on a shared server with Dhost. Also, it could be that it’s already enabled, but I’m not sure.

In reply to: Site resolving really slow@mika Hi, and thank you so much for replying! This is driving me nuts.
The site seems to load fast, but it’s the render time that’s slow. I used https://www.webpagetest.org/ and saw the start render time is about 3 seconds.
For some reason, when I opened the site in Safari and Firefox I got a faster start render time, but Chrome still makes the page sit for a while before it starts showing up elements. Like it’s trying to resolve something before even starting the loading.
I’m using W3 Total Cache’s CDN option with Amazon Cloudfront using wildcard DNS I requested from Dhost. So four subdomains to be accurate.
As for the non-minified CSS, I just couldn’t get it to work. Minifying my main CSS style breaks the layout somehow :S

In reply to: Site resolving really slowBut the issue isn’t my theme as far as we know. We’re just assuming at this point.
I just used W3 Total Cache to put my Javascript loading before the </body> as opposed to loading it at the <head> which I thought would be causing most of the blocking. So far thought my start render time is at 3 seconds which is pretty crappy.
Is there any way to better my start render time? This is the main issue.

In reply to: Site resolving really slow@t-p I’m already using the latest version of the theme.

In reply to: Site resolving really slowWould the fact that I’m using a child theme have anything to do with it?
The theme I’m using is Repro and it’s a bit old, but this issue had not occurred before. It started a few months back and now it’s critical.
Admittedly I’ve only started with the testing a few hours ago and in the process I’ve deleted cache batches around 100 times. Maybe I should just let it set in and test the speed in a couple of hours?

In reply to: [P2] [Theme: P2] Fix .newcomment transparency animationThanks for the patch! I added the .diff changes to my p2.js file, but wasn’t able to get it working. What other steps am I missing?

In reply to: Change Notification Color in P2 ThemeThank you very much for the info!
I’ve made the necessary changes to my p2.js file, but the issue persists. Is there anything I might be missing?
