I’ve switched back to the latest W3 Total Cache, perfect with WP-Touch, no more seeing Mobile screen on desktop.

And miles ahead in speed improvement versus Quick Cache, in a shared hosting environment (Bluehost). No contest, IMHO.

I initially dropped W3 Total Cache for Quick Cache, but latest W3 is great.

And I now realize the benefits of WP-Touch, so it has to be installed in my blog.

Works in other computers

Now using WordPress SEO by Yoast, so far so good for several months now. This is the plugin for me now, recommended for those who already have god content. Otherwise, use Greg’s …

And also, I just blocked indexing by Tags, and changed to indexing by Categories, which works much better.

It’s ok, W3 Total Cache Minify seems to have been improved now and works well now, so one less plugin now without BWP-Minify.

Since Shutter Reloaded didn’t work too well on the iPad, I switched to the plugin WP-Slimbox 2, a version of the popular Lightbox, very lightweight.
So my comments above are now obsolete ??

Love it, one can click anywhere on right or left side of a picture. Works well with either Nextgen (choose Lightbox instead of Shutter in its options) or standalone pictures in a post/page that have links to bigger sizes.

Only thing I miss is the resizing in Shutter. There are other versions with resize, but no option to see full size. So mine is always full size. Anyway, still fine, works on Ipad too …

p.s. don’t enable zlib compression in Bluehost if using w3 Total cache … just enable PHP5 fast CGI

Well, i decided to give up on this, and use some other anti-spam instead.

Will be using this for now, seems fine, it stopped the spam that was coming in every minute. No burdening visitors with entering a validation code too.

Rephrase support question then, how can one prevent a Captcha plugin from being cached by W3 ?

I read somewhere an answer on caching by Frederick Townes where he recommends not caching pages with forms. But every page in our blog has a contact form, the most important one.

Thanks, I have tried it, but unfortunately did not work for me. No error in the frontend, but my hosting service reported fatal errors in their error.log.

Anyway, the cron code in the link you have provided works well for me.

It’s not too bad, my favorite photography website https://www.deviantart.com/ where I post images is slower, but that doesn’t drive away the huge no. of visitors, content can be great. Of course, internet connection speed is also a factor.

I just found a Bluehost optimization tutorial, and my Google speed score is now past 90%, from the usual 89%, on Bluehost. Watch the video and do as instructed.

And don’t forget to activate “Compress the specified MIME types” at “Optimize Website” under “Software Services” in your Bluehost cpanel.

In combination with the best cache plugin I’ve tried for shared hosting (so long as one doesn’t go overboard with too many “unnecessary” plugins), W3 Total Cache, in tandem with Better WordPress Minify, WP Widget Cache and inspite of using a heavy loading Suffusion theme, all is well for now.
