In reply to: [Awesome Flickr Gallery] Problem with Z-Index on IE9I think you may be having the same problem I was having. Check this thread for what I did to solve it:

In reply to: [Awesome Flickr Gallery] Gallery shadow box doesn't cover sidebar or menuI’ve solved it. In the Twenty Eleven theme style.css, under the #branding section, I changed the z-index value from 9999 to 8999.
This was done after the advice I read in these two threads:

In reply to: [Awesome Flickr Gallery] Gallery shadow box doesn't cover sidebar or menuAnother piece of the puzzle:
I don’t know how helpful this will be, but apparently Alpine PhotoTile for Flickr does not have this problem with the header and menu overlapping photos displayed in a shadow box (or maybe it’s called light box…)
Like I said, I don’t know how helpful that is, maybe these plugins are built completely differently and having a look at how Alpine PhotoTile handles shadow boxes won’t be useful at all, but I figure it couldn’t hurt.
I set up a temporary Alpine PhotoTile gallery on my site, so you can compare it with the Awesome Flickr Gallery. The tabs are clearly marked which is which: https://astrakan.ca/?page_id=44
I should also mention that Alpine PhotoTile isn’t as user friendly or as customizeable as Awesome Flickr Gallery, so I’d much rather use Awesome Flickr Gallery. ?? There, I didn’t want this to look like I was pushing that other plugin or something.
