Thank you for your response. My question was more along the lines of “can anyone think of something in WordPress or WP plugins” that would cause this, but I can see how that wasn’t entirely clear.

Honestly I am throwing out this net as wide as possible, and asked in this particular forum because I can’t even begin to guess what part, if any of my WordPress install (and associated plugins) may be causing this. But I do also understand that there are myriad settings which could (?) have an effect on one browser, but not others?

I have also reached out to Bandcamp, as part of my trouble-shooting but, as I mentioned, wide net and all.

Let’s try this for the image. (I hope it works)

As for the Elementor part, if that image above works you can see that we now have a “Generate with Elementor AI” prompt underneath the Featured Image thumbnail in the Block Editor. This prompt wasn’t there before, I’ve tried to deactivate Elementor’s AI stuff via their settings but this prompt still persists, and I don’t know if it is somehow tied into this problem or not.

Note that the actual image uploaded is a full square, not the widescreen ratio now seen in the thumbnail in the block editor.

I know this all seems confusing. I’m trying my best to explain a situation I’m not entirely familiar with. Sorry!!! ??

    Mia-

Thank you for your quick response. Apologies, yes, v.6.2.3 is current.

However your test doesn’t accurately cover the issue I am having. When I upload an image using the normal uploader, as shown in the test, it is fine. But I am not uploading an image into a post, I am uploading using the Featured Image option on the right-hand column. (may need to copy/paste the links)

When I do this I see this screen, where I do not have any options to select a folder to upload to (although I used to quite a few versions ago, but that appears to have been removed):

After uploading the file, we used to be able to select which of our folders to place it into (red circle). Now the option remains “Uncategorized” and we cannot change it anymore.

I guess the reason is to make it completely custom HTML, with no default styling getting in the way of people who don’t want it. It’s custom HTML after all, not pre-styled custom HTML.

Well yeah, that would make sense. If there was also a block that was just HTML which did have styling options, right? But there isn’t. I’m no programmer, but I can’t imagine it being too difficult to provide an alignment tool, which could be defaulted to “None” but still have options to align for people who do want it.

If you want the alignment, simply put it in a group block so it’ll inherit the group block’s styling (including alignment options). That shouldn’t take a ton of time to do.

It hasn’t, but it’s another stumbling block (haha) in the way. Inserting a new group or pattern isn’t as fast as simply clicking on Add Block and selecting from one of your most used blocks (or groups, or patterns). Also, that is putting the onus on the end users for something that is probably pretty easy to bake in to WP from the get go. I mean, the process doesn’t have to be the equivalent of a Rube Goldberg device for something so simple.

Also, if the feature is so onerous to add, that still doesn’t negate my second suggestion, which is essentially what you are recommending, which is the make all frequently used parts, including groups or patterns, populate into the top most-used options when adding a block.

Anyhow, it’s a feature request. Either the powers that be take it on, or don’t. I appreciate your candor and comments either way! ??

Thank you for the quick response. I will submit #1 to the provided link.

As for #2, I am using v6.5.7 and this definitely is not the case. All of my schedules will “finish” and completely stop sharing if they run out of posts to share. If there is a setting that I need to activate, can you please point me to where in the documentation that setting is? I’ve read through the Schedules section of the FS Poster docs multiple times to see if I am missing something and can’t seem to find anything related to it, nor is there any information that confirms #2 is actually an expected function of the plugin.

I don’t think I can even submit a ticket because I did not opt to pay for continued support past the initial support period that came when I purchased the product. (?)

Jetpack Stats has been acting even more erratically than normal for me over the past few days (I could get it to load up, but it wasn’t always displaying stats).

For me, as of this morning, it looks like an auto-update now has the Stats feature locked behind a paywall unless your site falls under some very specific criteria.

I know this isn’t the help you wanted, but this change may have some bearing on your issues.

Thanks corrinarusso! I did that and, for the briefest of moments, the Asplenia Studios site was back up, but only the main page, and couldn’t access wp-admin. Now it is down again That’s Good Enough For Me remained down (although it is, technically, an addon domain under Asplenia Studios, so the root problem affecting that is likely trickling down).

Tolstoy – yep. Hopefully I can sort that out if I can get them back up and running.

Thanks for your response. However I disabled Elementor Pro, as it wasn’t jiving at all with Bifrost. The drop-menus did work, but loads of other functionality appeared to be broken or not functioning as expected.

After disabling Elementor Pro, the other issues were resolved, but this problem is occurring using the free version of Elementor.

@gabrielfuentes – thanks for your response.

Sadly, that’s not entirely what I’m looking for, although I admit I may have explained it poorly.

I do already have variable products, as I import them over from Printful. But these are variations of the same product (say, a t-shirt where the variations are in size and color).

In my shop link, I have three different variable products which feature the same illustration. It appears that, by default, WooCommerce displays them as completely separate items.

But what I am looking for is a way to create a unified listing to start from for a single design, which is available on a myriad of products (t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.)– even if that unified listing THEN takes the customer to a page of each individual variable product as seen on the link above.

Like, a clickable icon or item in the shop page for SD Gelgoog Jager, that then takes the customer to a page that looks like what my shop page is now. Then rinse and repeat for each of my individual designs/illustrations I may make available.
