Do they seem huge and ugly? I tend to look at everything with 1024×768. With that setting, the titles are microscopic – totally unreadable (just checked Patricia Muller’s blog and the same is the case there too). Hence, I just changed the CSS font numebrs for text on the titles and sidebars to make them a little larger.

I just took a look under 800×600 and they still seem pretty sensible to me. What resolution are you using for them to be huge and ugly?

But I definitely did not modify anything else to make the comments go away. It was just adjusting the fonts.

Anyway, I did find and disable that requirement you mention above. But I still don’t see a comments box appearing. And another strange thing is that when I disabled that requirement of being registered and logged in, I note that the font size on the post titling has decreased bakc to microscopic size again! I didn’t do anything else. Weird.

Actually, yes. That is ticked. Here is the blog:

I believe the theme is from the source quoted in my post above. It’s called Connections 1.0 by Patricia Muller.

    Hi,

You were absolutely right. I enabled PHP and all was well. You know how the mind sometimes goes into automatic pilot? That’s what was happening when I was creating new domains. At some point, I’d stopped remembering to tick the PHP enabled box.

    Thank you.

Yes, thank you. I will contact my support person. What I don’t understand though is that I installed just fine to previous domains on the exact same server; the last was just 2-3 days ago.

However, what you have uncovered may throw some light on the matter. Thank you.

Thanks. While you replied, I edited my last with an additional question. Might that have anything to do with it?

Yes indeed. I actually have other WordPress blogs installed on that server that work just fine.

    It is a dedicated server.

One question. I have occasionally renamed wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php only AFTER the files had been FTP’d to the server. It happened on this occasion.

    Could this cause the problem?
