I didn’t see a way to exclude; however, you can hide the parent list item with CSS, which is what I did. e.g.:

li.cat-item-128 {
display: none;
}

I’m also experiencing an issue where expired posts are not changing to Draft.

Thanks for your response! The parent and child now save; however, if the user edits their profile, the information doesn’t show/edit correctly from the parent & child saved previously.

I’m also having issues with the callback function not saving the dropdown from the Parent Option and Callback Choices

I used BuddyPress to add xprofile fields

Same issue just now. I commented out line 142, which allowed it to Activate; however, I’m not sure what effects it may cause.

I am also interested in this feature.
